Basic Components of Computer System generally are as follows. The Computer system is composed of input devices which assist an individual in entering raw data in to the computer that later gets processed in a human-friendly form. These input/output devices are usually computer hardware that interacts with users and other electronic devices.

These components of a computer system are categorized under five basic components. They are Motherboard, Memory, processor, Video Card, Hard Drive and Sound card. Each component is very important to the proper functioning of a pc system. Let's have a glance at these components of computer system :

The motherboard could be the central unit of the computer system. It holds the motherboard components and helps in CPU operation through PCI slot. Motherboard also holds the storage components like RAM, IDE, hard drive etc., that assist in the operation of the PC. On the contrary, it is an integral circuit controller. It controls and transfers signals between the CPU and other components. This controller helps in providing instructions to the CPU to use a pc system.

Memory is one of the components of a computer system unit. It holds data and instructions to the CPU and helps it to use the computer. A method unit assembles the various elements of a CPU together like CPU, input and output devices, input device etc. Besides, several other components just like a microprocessor, an interrupt controller, a timer unit, a status indication unit etc.

Additionally, the third component is a hard drive or a media storage that holds large files. Though a hard disk drive cannot operate indirectly via a CPU, it can be indirectly linked to a CPU. Thus, in a computer system, it is necessary to really have a hard drive connected as an energetic device to a CPU. Other aspects of a CPU include an os and its drivers and other components like a disease scanner, a protection manager, a net server, a media player, a printer and a modem. These components of the computer system interact with each other to offer a whole computing experience.
